Where business becomes a family affair

 What we do

We help businesses to transform unused, wasted office space into bespoke nursery facilities for your employees. Each nursery is tailor-made to suit your business' ethos and structure. You and your employees will also be entitled to tax and national Insurance relief through the Workplace Nursery Exemption Scheme. We are proud to be the only company solely working with businesses to create their personalised workplace nursery.

A workplace nursery uses a salary sacrifice scheme to help both the employer and the employee to save money. HMRC states that

"A salary sacrifice agreement is an agreement to reduce an employee's entitlement to cash pay, usually in return for a non-cash benefit"

In simple terms, an employer will pay for the employee’s nursery fees from their gross pay meaning that the employee saves on income tax and national insurance contributions and the employer also saves on national insurance contributions.

We are not an agency sourcing childcare spaces - our business is to design bespoke early years settings suited to, and owned by, your business. Since March 2022, HMRC have been clear that businesses using the workplace Nursery Exemption Scheme must have meaningful input to the running of the nursery. We will help you meet all four relevant conditions of the Workplace Nursery Exception Scheme and continue to give you step-by-step guidance even once the nursery is open.

In March 2023, the Government made an announcement of more funded childcare for children as young as 9 months which will be rolled out between April 2023 - September 2025. This extra funding will allow for more parents to get back into the work place or increase their working days sooner then they may have been able to before. Unfortunately, there is likely to be a shortfall of nursery spaces across the country due to fewer nursery settings than there were 3 years ago.

This is where businesses, such as yours, can entice new employees by offering a bespoke workplace nursery. With our assistance, you'll be able to offer a unique and dedicated nursery for your employees and their children.

"Pure imagination."

With much more financial support in the pipeline, the challenge will be to find enough nursery spaces to cater to the growing demand.

A nursery can be created from a an unused space and you'd be surprised what you can create. Why not get in touch and let us show you the possibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Interested but still have some questions? We are happy to answer any questions you might have; here are some of the most common:

Can our employees still use Tax-free Childcare?

You may already know that Tax-free Childcare allows parents to save 80% of their childcare costs with 20% being topped up by the Government.

You'll be pleased to know that, as long as your employees meet the relevant criteria for Tax-free Childcare, they can use that as well as the Workplace Nursery Exemption Scheme.

We are only a small business, I don't think we have enough space.

Although there are some space requirements in the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, you would be surprised what you might be able to fit in!

If you have some spare space, (ideally inside and outside) get in touch and we will be able to advise you.

We are in a business estate, can we share a nursery space?

Yes, businesses can create a partnership to run a Workplace Nursery from. The nursery premises must be on one of the employer's sites or on the premises of a commercial childcare provider involved in the partnership. We can share further details of a partnership agreement if it's something you're interested in.

Do we pay anything up front?

There is nothing to pay upfront and we are happy to come and give a no-obligation quote. We will ask for two initial meetings:

- The first to see the available space and get to know your business

- The second to present our proposal and estimated costings.

There will only be a charge if you want to go ahead.

Is it going to be a lot of hard work?

It doesn't have to be! You are welcome to be as involved as you want to be or let us take care of every detail. There are some things we'll need to run past you but we can happily create a special space while you take care of your business.

There will be at least 2 meetings before the nursery space can be created; the first to get to know your business, the second to share our initial proposal and costings. Then you are underway!

How much will it cost?

This will depend on the space and what is already there e.g. if it already has running water. However, we will be able to give you a good estimate during our second meeting when we have seen the space and calculated some costings. We will be very transparent about the cost of the project throughout to give you more control.

We offer a range of packages from solely startup to full management and everything in between. You choose the package that best suits your business.

What if our business works across multiple sites?

Not a problem! If your sites are close together we can create one setting to cater to all the sites. If they are spread out over a larger part of the country we can work with multiple sites to make sure they all have suitable nursery spaces for the children of their employees.

We even offer a discount on multiple sites when the business structure remains the same.

Why not just use a nursery near our business?

The chances are, many of your employees are already using local nurseries for their childcare needs but, by offering a workplace nursery, you and your employees can benefit from reduced tax and national insurance through the Workplace Nursery Scheme.

Also, the overheads of nurseries are high but with this approach all overheads are shared.
